FIRST and foremost! The arrival of my nephew!!

Trainings!

Yupps.. We had training today. It had to be on our off day! Haiz.. anyways, it didn't turn out to be that bad! Kinda had a great day spent at workplace not working. (hope u gt what i meant)
So, we were done with the training by about 4? But it was like 4.30 by the time we reached KRW to meet up Ap who once again forgot to bring phone. So up we went, sat there while some1 else went for lunch first. Then six of us (Hid, Ap, YC, Her & Lel & me!) left for lunch at kopitiam at krw. Both Hid & myself, we had Nasi Briyani.. Quite nice except that the thought of the weight i'll gain made me feel guilty. X((
It was quite a torment sitting thru the dinner wif Ap spilling whatever she knew of me. It's like she deriving some kind of thrill from it. Haiz.. I was almost the centre of topic for the whole time! So she reveals about dancing and singing and blah blah for them to merely add to the "over-achieving list".. *sighs* YC says "Good friends are supposed to keep secrets." What is Ap doing to me? =(((
Shall not add to this.. more tormentous moments will only get revealed... haha.. XD
PS: btw, don't think i'm really hurt by what happened k.. I've been kinda used to it.. used to her.. XD

VIVO-ing as usual!!

On sunday, 14th June, my 2 sistas & my brother-in-laws dropped by. As usual, there was loads of foods & goodies! I so wanted to take a pic with my 1st sis before she gives birth buttt... I didnt! Cause of some superstition my mum might come up with. Actually she didnt seem to say anything when I raised the idea of a pic. But I didnt do so in the end. I wouldn't want to do any harm to my first very own nephew, would I?
Later in the evening, my bro, mum, 1st sis & me of course, we set out to go VIVO! -One place I always end up going that it becomes more like a dreadful thing to step there again. X((
Anyways, cut everything in the middle (from chancing upon Hazirah & a BOTAK brainy ALEX!).. So, we bought this 5 tier cabinet/storage thing meant for my nephew's stuffs at Giant. As such, it's near impossible to carry that thing on the bus so we queued up for the taxi. Sunday night and taxi queue was PHEW'' long! after we reached to the end to catch our taxi, we realised that "thing" couldnt fit the boot of the car. 1 driver came out to help us to try putting it inside but the following taxis didnt even bother. ***pissed*** The fact that there were so many others waiting to catch their taxis gave them the power to exercise "choosing". So out of the queue we went after almost half an hour of waiting for the taxi??? Yupps den we called my cousin, but he was sleeping.. =(( Didnt want to disturb his sleep so we called my uncle. The thing to note here is that the word uncle does not clearly elaborate the relationship properly so let me do that first. My uncle = my mum's younger sister's husband. So when we called him up, he immediately said he'll come down to help us out. Really sweeeeet of him eh! Thank God for good relatives! He came within 15 mins? Cabinet thingy fitted in his car nicely. His car was sure big! =)) Then we hopped on for a ride back home! Really grateful to him! Poor sister with her big tummy.. must have been hard on her..

Just what do I eat?

Haha.. Being a procastinator that I am, stuffs that I wanted to blog on the 13th june, end up being blogged on 15th.. not too bad for an extreme procastinator.
Anyways, the whole idea of my blog is to tell myself that I did it again!! I tried 2 new things on sat, the 13th! Haha.. Hope i can add more to my list as time goes by.
I tried this : Multi cereal something - Chocolate Drizzle. =)) && THAI-styled chicken rice!
The number one was quite nice although I thought it left some after-taste? SCORED: 8/10
Number TWO!! It was nice BUT not that great.. possibly because my expectations shot high up after Hiddy said it was nice. But i think it was worth a shot! XD SCORED: 7/10

Haha.. That's about it! Quite a short entry eh? =)))))

GoiNg To UniVerSiTy!!

Alrights, now that i've already got a seat in NTU. I though it is time I sat down to think of what i want or need for my U-days..
Let's Start with the NEED category ya?
1) A NEW PHONE!!!
2) A proper water bottle
3) A "bring-out" bag. (the big sized kind)
4) more T-shirts to wear to school!!
5) A nice watch! (haf taken a liking to wearing it since I started work. HAHA)
6) MP3 earpiece!
7) small dangling Earrings &chains made fr pure silver! [ i develop rashes if it's not. =( ]

WANTS?!?! almost like a follow-up on my needs k..

2)--> been eyeing a nike bottle.
3)--> hmm.. nth in particular.. shoulder bag? big enuf to dump my many stuffs

7)--> my sister is "donating" her chains to me cos she's not using them!!
Earrings are more of a must esp since i love them to bits. hehe. must get myself a pair of med-sized silver loop earring!!

alrights.. just saw that i last blogged on jan? not too bad.. compared to the times when i blog after at least 6 months ++. Haha.. Anyways, I'm out of job now. In other words, i'm unemployed and am thought to have lots of time to blog eh? Maybe ya.. i do have lots of time now. But it's really tough to gettin down to blogging. too much of a bother at times.

By the way, since i've been thru the whole "teaching experience" for 4 mths, i tot i should just summarise what i've learnt and share some memorable incidents and scenarios in school.
I've had my share of good and bad times in school esp when it comes to my P5s.

Rather than saying i've got really good pupils, i would say they are really nice juniors I got to know as pupils. LOL. sounds insane.. but that's how i think they treated me too.. more like a fren and less of a teacher. These clique of abt 4 gals call me out of the staffroom to chat like it's the perfectly norm thing to do. It's quite nice actually, i might have lots of work to do, but i'll nevertheless go out to chat wif them. almost like to take a breather sort of thing?
Two gals esp.. they call me out just to chat until their higher mother tongue supplementary class starts.. how weird/strange/maybe cool is tat? I don't rmb such a thing happening till my jc life.. But they're really nice.. the presence of both of them gave me courage to step into that horrible class of theirs.. haha..

Come to think of it, it is actually not their fault. It is mine. I should have been fierce with them right from the start. Haiz. no use sayin all that now ya?

TeaCh@brps =day 3,4,5 & 6

day 3: went into my P5 class. kept a stern look, no smiles or anything cos the form tr told me to show them who's boss. haha.. went thru their P4 EOY paper after much stuggle. it was prob during this period tat they realised that I can be bullied!! haiz...

day4: the P5 class seemed to be getting worse! esp a handful of boys.. i'm feeling stressed over the P5 class... being a teacher is difficult!

Day5: when i went into my P5 class, one pupil asked me why the class was so noisy only when i'm ard... hw frustrating! i so want to be a nice tr n help them wif their eng but.... haiz... i shouted and scolded them later on... felt so damn thirsty after that.. Man, i must have talked alot.. i feel so tired after my P5 lesson...
I also went into class 3D to relief for Chinese. haha... there was a bit weird gal in the class.. her classmates didnt seem to like her.. i felt quite uneasy abt her too.. she looked like she saw a ghost or sth... her classmates said she didnt like to talk.. she didnt even want to intro herself like others did.. hmmm... lucky she's not in my class...
going into my P2 class is still a much pleasant experience!

Day6: FRIDAY!! finally! yesterday i had some STELLAR training regarding the reading of the big book for my P2 class.. we r supposed to tune in first.. like a song time... haha... after much pondering, i used "twinkle twinkle lil star" tune to sing along to... it was rather succesful tho.. at least almost every1 joined in to sing along.. i had also prepared some games or rather an activity to follow up on the book.... tat too was pretty gd cos it was a grp activity n the kids seemed to enjoy it... but unfortunately i didnt haf time to separate the slips of paper for each grp so tat took up a bit of time which ended up eatin up my game time... so i wasnt able to finish the game in time... =(
Btw, i also went into 1E class to relief for fine arts n i shud say that they r also an obedient lot too.. =) They seem to like drawing n showing them to me... :)

nth much to add abt the P5s... still thinkin abt hw to handle them!

2nd day, nth much, more admin stuff... including the choosing of monitors and grp leaders n stuff... haha...but there was also another embarassing incident. haha.. i forgot the zip my stupid pants la... haha... but it was not like can see anything inside k... there was some cloth behind the zip area so mayb not too bad ah... haha... my pupils were the ones who told me... one asked... "Miss nooru, y didnt u button ur pants..." haha... i was so paiseh then... luckily they were like small kids n were innocent enuf not to tease me abt it.. haha.... so instead, i said that it is not button, it is a zip... den i zipped up... LOL! stop laughing there... :P

okay... finally got down to blogging after a week of working...

Last fri (2jan), i reported to sch. it was my 1st day!!! Mr Goh intoduced himself n brought me to the hall to be intro-ed wif other new trs.. kinda weird but i just went on wif the flow... n the principal named me Miss Nooru instead of the initial Miss Nisa i tot of... this was cos there were many nisa-s & anisa-s in the sch ardy.. it was fine wif me, tho it did sound weird a lil.. den mrs chan intro-ed herself n haha... i told her tat she was my tr in P6... was kinda funny n weird [AGN!]
Anyways i was given my form class, 2A was told that lessons were suspended till tues.. so i haf some ice-breaking to do wif my class n do other admin stuff in class... all these seemed so cool... i mean me being a teacher, asking my pupils to intro themselves as hw i wud during my sch-lin days...

So yep, brought them to the class n got them to intro themselves n tell me more abt themselves... the kids were generally adorable even the quiet ones... =) there were a handful of loud ones but they seemed more adorable than annoying den.... so the whole day was spent playing games n getting more of them to join in.. this class was a high ability class n the bestest class of the cohort so i had not much of a discipline prob... BUT i had a unexpected visitor-a hornet! on my 1st day at that! haha... i was scared myself... it was damn big! like three-quarter of ur finger! my kids of cos were scared as well... esp the gals... it was quite a sight tho.. cos some of the boys were laughin at the gals for being so scared, den later when the hornet seemed to be flying lower ard them, the boys started running away as well... all talk only la... haha... cute pple..
luckily my time was up within 10 mins after that thing appeared... cos when i saw another tr waiting outside the class, i just passed the chaotic class to him n left... haha... n when i came back for the last 30 mins b4 sch was over, my pupils told me tat the hornet was dead... SSWWEEET!
